Taking it further – Small group questions

What is the difference between ‘creating God in our own image’ and receiving God’s revelation of Himself.

Is there a gap between how you see ‘God’ and how you see ‘Jesus’?

What does it mean to ‘start with Jesus’ when we consider what God is like?

How can we have a clearer view of what Jesus is like?

Do you feel that you are part of ‘the family business’?

Take another look at 2 Peter 1v3 – do you believe the ‘all things’ bit? How does that change the way we approach life?

Write down here, some of the truths about Jesus which are precious to you.

Take some time to praise and worship Jesus, focus on who he is and how great he is.

The empowering Father, also seeks to empower us.

(2 Peter 1:3 ESV)

2.  JESUS IS CREATOR

V2 - ‘through whom also he created the world.’

V10-11 – ‘you, Lord’ laid the foundations of the world in the beginning, the heavens are the work of your hands.

They will perish, but you remain.’

Because he’s creator – he’s greater than all creation.

He was there before it existed and he’ll be there long after too.
