Special Achievements:
· Directing and coordinating the Port’s Pilot Team in rescuing, with the immediate risk of capsizing, the under Norwegian Flag registered Passenger Cruise Vessel, “ Monarch of the Seas “ with 2500 passengers and 750 crew immediately after the vessel’s grounding on Perselyte Reef outside St. Maarten Bay by navigating her safely ( grounded ) on the St. Maarten’s Bay Beach and coordinated the repatriation of passengers from the vessel safely to shore , without any casualties.
· Appointed by the Norwegian Government, Directorate of Shipping to sit on the Board of Enquiry, after the accident, at St. Maarten , Netherlands Antilles.
