Other feedback important for this administrator to know:

I want to express how impressed I have been and continue to be with Ima Sample as principal at Johnson. She has a real clear vision, focus, and plan for our building. Ima has a good understanding of NCLB and has articulately helped our staff and families understand our situation and next steps. She has many strengths, including instruction and curriculum, organization, and communication. Ima values relationships and community building. I strongly respect and admire her and am honored to be working for her here at JSA. I look forward to continuing to work for her as we work together to help all students achieve.

Our principal has many strengths and no major areas of weakness. I think continued experience will make her an even better principal than she is already.

Ima has blended well into the JSA family. Has had a great year as a first year principal. She will do well for many year’s to come.

I think Ima has done a very good job as a 1st year principal. Ima has done an excellent job communicating with staff on every level – about students, about behavior issues, about achievement. She as a clear vision of where she wants to take our building. She is very skilled at data analysis and this should prove valuable as we head into the “nitty gritty” of NCLD. I know our 2nd year will be better than the first and I think we are all looking forward to that. I think she has a very difficult job!

JSA has both ends of the spectrum – from the very at risk families to the extremely financially successful families – each with their unique challenges. Ima has handled these challenges in a calm and confident manner – no easy task! JSA is fortunate to have Ima as a leader.

She is a strong instructional leader, has vision and exudes confidence in dealing with our school being on the “watch list”. Dealing with the budget cuts has not been easy but she has handled it well and “rallied the troops”. We are lucky to have her!

Ima is a positive, upbeat administrator. She appears knowledgeable of what she is responsible and in control of her emotional being when things are tough! I enjoy working with her.

Ima has taken on many challenges at JSA. She has worked well with the staff and our Johnson community. Ima has done a fabulous job at being a first year principal in a diverse, always challenging environment! She demonstrates “class” and commitment to all of us at Johnson. P.S. I can’t imagine being a young principal with all of the pressure thrown at her this year (death, new hires, job cuts, parent pressure, etc.) She faced all of these challenges head on.
