State and Fed-eral Election Results and the Impact on Beha-vioral Health Care / William Healey, Senior Vice President, Alman Group, LLC, shared his insights on how the behavioral healthcare field could be affected by the new Adminis-tration. He emphasized the impor-tance of advocating to the Con-gressional delegates, particularly the newly elected Representative Josh Gottheimer. Bill also stressed the need to educate the guberna-torial candidates and stated that a key message should be the savings that community providers achieve in other areas of the State Budget. State and Fed-eral Election Results and the Impact on Beha-vioral Health Care / Bill stated that storytelling is an important part of advocacy; it provides a “powerful take-away” for the elected officials.
Debra Wentz noted that NJAMHAA is working on setting meetings with the gubernatorial candidates.
