Family Portraits
Family Portraits will be taken Saturday November 13 at the Senior Center from 12 - 4 by Irvin Simon Photographers.There is a $9.95 sitting fee, you haveover 10 proofs, the photos will be posted after a few days for you to purchase.. Batty for Box Tops
Do you still have Box Tops sitting around your house since the last school year ended? If you do, then send them in to school for a chance to win a How to Train Your Dragon Double DVD Pack that includes Legend of the Boneknapper Dragon, plus popcorn and candy to make a fun Family Movie Night!
In order to enter the raffle, simply have your child glue or tape 10 Box Tops to the attached collection sheet and bring it back to school. The more sheets you complete, the greater your chances to win! You can find additional copies of the collection sheet on the PTA website. Just be sure to check those expiration dates!
All completed collection sheets must be returned by Friday, October 29th. Thank you for supporting our program!

Media volunteers are still needed especiallyfor Ms.Butler, Mrs.Dugan, Ms.Goodhart and Mrs.VanDusen's classes. Your availability will gladly be accommodated, whether you can volunteer every month or once in a while. It is not difficult and an experienced volunteer will train you. START EMAILING US YOUR PHOTOS
The Yearbook Committee is now collecting photos from all grades for the collage pages of this year’s ALL COLOR yearbook. We are looking for digital photos only (photos that can be emailed). Please do not send your actual photos to the school office as was done in the past. If you don’t have digital photos, feel free to scan them into your computer so they can be emailed. Pictures should be high resolution – no photos taken from cell phones, please. We are organizing all photos in our server by grade level so please title your photos with the appropriate grade level, or indicate “multi-level” if kids in your photo are from more than one grade. Clothing Drive! November 13 8am-11am
The 5th grade is sponsoring a clothing drive which will be held on 11-13-10 @ 8am
The items to be collected are as follows:
· Wearable & useable clothing (men’s, women’s & children’s)
· Shoes, belts, scarves, gloves, ties and handbags
· Household items made of fabric in good condition (blankets, linens, bedspreads, tablecloths, towels & curtains)
· Stuffed animals, rag dolls & beanie babies
· Hard toys that will fit into a 24”x24”x21” box (NO oversized toys please)
· Small & medium bikes
HILLSIDE SCHOOL PTA IS ON FACEBOOK!!
Last year the PTA created a private group page where we share information about school activities, upcoming PTA events, and reminders. It’s also a way for new families to meet everyone in the Hillside community, connect to make play dates, or just waste some mindless time like we all do on Facebook.
