A Taste of Learning

  • It is a kindergarten readiness initiative to help parents engage with their children in a meaningful and educational way in a grocery store environment…teaching about healthy food options, colors, numbers, shapes, and more!
  • In-store demos available on a daily basis for “Item of the Week”to go along with educational signage (usually a produce item)

Foodie Demonstration Program

Cost: $115/store + product

  • Available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for five hours, during peak shopping times
  • Foodies are incentivized to grow sales
  • Great for new products, increasing awareness, seasonal items, and more!
  • Six slots available per week

RESULTS:

  1. Vegy Vida Veggie Dip & Topper (new item) saw a 95% increase in average movement
  2. Skyline Chili and Chili Spaghetti pouches (new item) increased 619% in average movement
  3. Dean’s Country Fresh Ice Cream (national brand) sold 1,123 units in a one-day demo
  4. Sparkling Ice (national brand) sold 2,357 units in a one-day demo

What’s cooking? With Chef Amy

Cost: $250 + product

  • Cooking class event scheduled at one store location
  • Tailored recipes created by Chef Amy for your product(s)
  • Beer & wine partnerships available
  • Only one cooking class per month

RESULTS:

  1. GAEA Olive Oil at $9.50/bottle with 1½ hour event sold 33 bottles
  2. Colonel De & Troegs Brewery 1½ hour cooking class
  3. Colonel De sold 63 units
  4. Troegs sold 13 cases

Taste of the Holidays

  • Event held at each store location on Saturday, December 3rd from 11am to 4pmfor customers to sample all the holiday fare that Remke Markets has to offer, across all departments

Cost: Value-added

  • Not necessarily product and price point, but rather opportunity to promote and increase awareness of products
  • Great to introduce new products, inform of seasonal products in stock, etc.

  • Create a contest or let us help you come up with a way to engage our customers
  • Some examples to enter are through purchase, comment, “like”, share, submit photos, etc.

  • 12 Days of Christmas Trivia on Facebook

Cost: product

  • Take part in a fun holiday season-themed challenge by providing enough gifts for one of the 12 days of Christmas
  • There will be holiday-themed questions posted for 12 days, in which customers must“comment” their answers for a chance to win prizes
  • On day one of the challenge, 12 winners will be picked and given the same prize
  • Day two, 11 winners are picked to receive a different prize than day one, but the same prize for all 11 winners
  • Day three, 10 winners for yet another fun prize, and so on down to the grand prize with one winner on day 12

10¢ Wednesday

Cost: product for the Wednesday sales (usually 1,000-3,000 units)

  • Participate in our weekly Facebook promotion to launch a new product, penetrate new households, identify new potential customers, etc.
  • A teaser image is posted on Tuesday with the feature item’s outline for customers to guess what the item might be. On Wednesday, we send out an email blast to our subscribers and post to Facebook the feature item’s full image, letting everyone know what they can get at Remke Markets for 10¢ that day (Wednesday only). Customers must show the corresponding Facebook post or email in order to receive the feature item at the discounted price and there is a limit of one per household.

Seasonal Tags

  • Display your product with a special “seasonal tag” to draw additional attention to it!
  • The product must have an “ad worthy” price point for an extended period of time

*Fall tags are available now through 1/1/2017

RESULTS:

  1. Kellogg’s Pop-Tarts had a 44% increase in sales over previous year’s sales in a three-month time period
  2. Hefty Plates had a 53% increase in sales over previous year’s results in a four-month time frame

Store Displays

  • Work with store teams to create customized displays in a location to increase awareness or shout a deal to customers
  • Each store has the ability to work with you and your team to do something different!

  • If you book one of the above programs with us before this Friday, October 14th, receive a 10% off of the cost (product not included).

TO PARTICIPATE:

Please reach out to your Remke Markets merchandiser to organize partnership in any of the above listed programs, with the exception of store displays, which can be done at store level. Your merchandiser will help to ensure that all pieces of your participation are scheduled, and include the correct coordinators.
