UP UNTIL 31ST OCTOBER 2014

UPTAKE UPDATE

SUMMARY

Up until 31st October 2014, 7,113 NHSGGC staff have been vaccinated against flu, an uptake of 18.1%.

6,285 of this total have been vaccinated at staff flu vaccination clinics in the first two weeks of the programme (an increase of 945, 2.5%, compared to the first two weeks in 2013).

Vaccine orders for peer immunisation orders are higher this year compared to the same point in time last year, with 11 more vaccine orders placed (976 vaccine) for peer immunisation sessions planned so far as part of this year’s programme.

Analysis of uptake to date

Data from this year’s programme is taken from an IT dashboard that has been developed for this year. From the data gathered, the uptake at each of the main hospital sites is shown in appendix 1. As data is inputted from peer immunisation sessions this will be, where possible, added to specific sites.

The total number of staff in each directorate has been requested from Workforce Information in order to

report percentage uptake by directorate in future updates.

The three directorates with the most staff vaccinated to date are Women & Children (including Pharmacy) (917 staff), Surgical & Anaesthetics (885 staff) and Emergency Care & Medical Services (796 staff).
