THESIS OPTION CREDIT REQUIREMENT (Minimum 18 Semester Hours)
In addition to the 12 hours of required courses and Research Methods, the thesis option requires at least 18 semester hours, including 6 semester hours of COMM 799 and 12 additional semester hours of elective course work. Internships do not satisfy the minimum requirements for the thesis option.

NON-THESIS OPTION CREDIT REQUIREMENT (Minimum 18 Semester Hours)
In addition to the 12 hours in required courses and Research Methods, the non-thesis option requires a minimum of an additional 18 semester hours, including at least 3 semester hours in Communication and at least 6 semester hours numbered 600 and above. Limited internship credits (up to 3 semester hours of COMM 488 or 1 semester hour of COMM 688) satisfy degree requirements, but do not count toward semester hours in Communication.
