ASSESSMENT GUIDELINES

As part of the class, you will have an opportunity to take the following self-assessment instruments to help you understand yourself better. The instruments that you will be taking include:

1)MBTI: Myers-Briggs Type Indicator

2)FIRO-B: Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation – Behavior

3)TKI: Thomas Killman Conflict Resolution Inventory

4)CISS: Campbell Interest and Skill Survey

All instruments will be taken online through the CPP website listed below. You will not receive the results online, you will be given the results during class so it will be important that you DO NOT those miss classes. If you are absence during the interpretation of the results it will be your responsibility to coordinate another time with the Instructor to receive your results.

MBTI

In advance of the September 12thclass session or (by September 9th), please complete the online version of the MBTI. The MBTI is an inventory designed to help you gain an understanding of your individual personality preferences. The class session is designed to help you understand the impact of the personality preferences on interactions and your performance in teams.

FIRO-B

Complete the Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientations –Behavior instrument in advance of the October 3rd class or (by September 30th). For more than 40 years the Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation-Behavior™ (FIRO-B®) assessment has helped people around the world understand how their need for inclusion, control and affection can shape their interactions with others at work or in their personal life.

CISS

Complete the Campbell Interest and Skill Survey (CISS) by November 7th or (by November 4th). The Campbell Interest and Skill Survey (CISS) measures self-reported vocational interests and skills. Similar to traditional interest inventories, the CISS interest scales reflect an individual's attraction for specific occupational areas.

User ID: Leave this space blank. This number will be assigned to you after you have completed the instrument.

Click on Begin.

Fill in the demographic information and click on Continue.

Follow the instructions on the screen to complete each instrument.

Complete the instrument and click Done.

Please remember your results are not sent to you online therefore do not wait until the last day to take the instrument. The CareersCenter needs at least 3 days advance of class to download the report and get them to me. If I do not have your report by class time this may result in a 5 point deduction.
