September 2010

Dear Parents, Teachers and Staff:

The Lancaster PTO is looking forward to another successful year filled with new ideas, fun events and programs beneficial to our children’s educational enrichment.

The PTO plays an important role in fundraising to provide educational and enrichment programs for our children. Due to the hard work and dedication from parents, staff and teacher volunteers, the PTO was able to fund all or a portion of the Cultural Enrichment performances, class field trips, Books and Beyond Reading Program, Scholastic Book Fair, and many more events.

We welcome everyone’s PTO membership and invite you to participate in enhancing your children’s overall school experience. This year we will be bringing back many of our past successful fundraisers as well as some fresh new events such as After School Programs, ice cream social and family dance.

The PTO will also be publishing the student directory with student information, babysitter list, school calendar, school committee information, classroom rosters and local advertisements. To ensure inclusion in this year’s directory, please return the StudentDirectory form by Friday, September 10th. All individuals wishing to receive a copy of the 2010-2011 Student Directory will need to provide us with an email address and we will send out an electronic copy. If your family does not have access to a computer, please contact Rita Distefano-French at 617-880-9545 and a printed copy will be provided.

We are excited to be working with you and look forward to the opportunities we will have this year to work as a community of parents, teachers and staff. To join this exciting group, please complete the PTO Membership Form below and return with the $10.00 yearly dues and the attached CORI form with a copy of your license to the school.

Our first PTO meeting will be scheduled on Wednesday, September 15th in the MRE library at 6:30 PM, at which time we will schedule all remaining meetings.

Best wishes for a rewarding school year!

Sincerely,

Lancaster PTO Board
