The Naval Sea System Command Headquarters (NAVSEA) is pleased to announce a Small Business Industry Day (SBID) will be held at the Washington Navy Yard, Building 197, on 18 August 2016 from 7:30 to 1545. Registration and admittance to NAVSEA will begin at 7:30 am. Participation is limited, and participants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendance is limited to two representatives per organization. All of the forum presentations will be available on the NAVSEA website under the Business Partnership section, after the event.

This is a small business event open only to small businesses that are considered to be small under the SBA Table of Size Standards at website

NAVSEA designs, builds, delivers and maintains ships and systems on time and on cost for the U.S. Navy. NAVSEA is the largest of the Navy's five system commands. With a fiscal year budget of nearly $30 billion, NAVSEA accounts for one quarter of the Navy's entire budget. The NAVSEA SBID will provide a targeted forum for interested Small Businesses to hear from senior NAVSEA leadership and Program Executive Offices (PEO's) on various NAVSEA programs to create an enhanced understanding of NAVSEA’s programs and strategic direction which provide prime and subcontracting opportunities for small businesses.

The SBID will have a panel discussion from large businesses at this year’s forum. If you have any question(s) for this portion of the conference, please submit your advanced question(s) via email toNSWCPD, by 5 August 2016.

Please note that the government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their travel or participation in this event. Parking on the Navy Yard will not be provided.

Any interested company must register each attendee directly at the company name as well as the name of the two representatives that will be attending. It is important to note, that submitting a request to attend the event is only the first step in the vetting process and does not constitute NAVSEA’s approval to attend.

After security documents have been received and reviewed, NAVSEA will inform each individual of their attendance status by either providing a “SBID Participant Package” confirming attendance to the event or a “Regret Letter” to those individuals ineligible for attendance. Tickets are not transferrable and will be required at the gate in order to gain access to the installation and attend the event.

Attendees with No Security Clearance: Please complete the attached SECNAV form 5512/1, return the completed form to: for access onto the installation by close of business 26 July 2016.
