Valued PECES Parents,

In an effort to keep all parents informed, we would like you to be aware of some of our very important policies and procedures, as well as, changes that may have occurred.

Parental Visitation

Parents, feel free to eat lunch with your children. However, any time beyond that must be approved by the teacher and administration.

Student Drop Off:

·  PECES doors open at 7:45 a.m.

·  The inner most car lane, closest to the front door, is for drop off and not for parking. Please refrain from parking in that lane. Please allow students to exit your vehicle on the right side. School personnel can assist children, if need be.

·  Feel free to park in either parking lot. However, clearly labeled parking spaces are assigned to school personnel.

·  PECES 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade students are so familiar with their surroundings, we ask that they be allowed to walk to class independently. This will help us meet our goal of maximizing classroom instruction.

Student Pick Up:

·  Normal Dismissal – CAFETERIA doors will open at 2:55 p.m.

·  Parents who routinely pick up their children, will be issued a laminated placard. The placard will have parent identifying information and an assigned number unique to the child/children.

·  Parents, please bring this placard daily, and come directly to the Cafeteria.

·  Any changes in your child’s afternoon destination (bus change or pick up) should be sent to the school in the form of a signed note. Phone call changes will not be accepted. Changes will not be accepted after 2:00 p.m.

·  Adults picking up students (early or regular dismissal) must bring valid identification, daily.

Leaving School Early:

The school day ends at 3:10 p.m. If a student has to leave school prior to the end of the day, the student must:

1.  Bring a signed not from a parent or guardian stating the reason for the early dismissal, how the student will be leaving and the designated time for leaving.

2.  Submit the request for early dismissal to the homeroom teacher, or office.

3.  Students will report to the office at the designated early dismissal time, once the adult picking up the student has arrived to the office.
