Infant Immunisations

18 Months – Schedule Change (Log 10701)

Immunisation Schedule change from 1/3/16.

A whooping cough booster has been added to the NIP for children at 18 months of age. - Children will received 1 or the other either IFX or TCL

IFX Infanrix - Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (Whooping Cough)

TCL Tripacel - Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (Whooping Cough)

The upgrade will add these vaccines: IFX and TCL into the Vaccine codes list.

They will be ticked as Active, Standard schedule, Spc, Acir code, report to ACIR and Report to VIVAS

Suggestion: You will need to remove the tick from the brand from the SPC Column you will not being using in Vic most likely TCL so that only 1 vaccine is ticked

Consent tick boxes on both the person screen and the immunisation screen have been added

These vaccines have also been added to the Look up: Session Details Common Batch, if you wish to make the one you do not use inactive it will be hidden from the consent and the session details screens.

The two vaccines have been added to the session details screen on the Common batch No’s tab

Recording IFX or TCL

Depending on what brand is used you will see TCL4 or IFX4

IFIP Dose (Log 10705)

Due to the 18 months schedule change

We have been advised when 18month booster has been recorded - 4 year old vaccination is now the 5th dose of DTPa, when the 18 month booster has not been recorded, the 4 year old will be the 4th dose.

No 18 months booster recorded in Immunisation

18 months booster recorded in Immunisation

Boostrix Dose(Year 7 or 8 – School Vaccine)

If IFIP4 (4 Year old vaccine) recorded as given then Boostrix is recorded as Dose 5

If IFIP5 (4 Year old vaccine who has IFX4 recorded at 18 months ) record as given then the Boostrix as Dose 6 –by the time that data is recorded and gets sent ACIR in 12 years the maximum dose accepted for DTPA should have increased to 6.

If IFX4 recorded at 18 months then but NO IFIP5 at 4 years recorded in WINVaccs record Boostrix Dose 5

Boostrix previously recorded as Dose 1 ( Version 6.6.9and prior) as it was not entered to ACIR – it didn’t impact the DTPA dose count. Sending Boostrix to ACIR as Dose 1 fails.

Boostrix at Year 7 if no imm history is on winvaccs will be recorded as Dose 5….

Catch Up Vaccines – Adacel Polio/Boostrix IPV(Log: 10683)

ADPO - Adacel-Polio

BOPO - Boostrix-IPV

These will record as Dose 1

Stock(Log: 10426)

Adding stock to an existing stock level - if this stock had been dispensed since it was entered the stock was being added to the dispensed level not the in stock level. This has been corrected.
