SUPPORT LESSONS:- R160 per individual & R110 per group lesson / EXTRA LESSONS & EURYTHMY THERAPY :- charges obtainable from the accounts office
AFTER CARE SCHOOL TERM HOURS :- (Kindergarten & Playgroup hours 12h30 until 16 h00) ( Primary School hours +-12h30 until 17 h30 ) (Half day =15h00 ) ( Full day =17h30)
HOLIDAY CARE CHARGES :- As specified by the Holiday Carer,PAYABLE by the parent/fee payer – cannot be added to the monthly fee account
SPORT CHARGES :- Usually no charge unless specialised coaches are employed at extra cost to the school
MUSIC LESSON CHARGES :- As specified by the School’s Music Department, payable by the parent/fee payer on a TERMLY PREPAID system – details available from the Music Co-ordinator
CLASS MATERIAL CHARGES :- Most writing, main lesson books and basic craft materials are included in the tuition fees
STATIONERY, TEXTBOOKS, ART & PROJECT MATERIAL CHARGES :- As specified by the teacher for the purchase and PAYMENT by parent/fee payer - cannot be added to the monthly fee account
CLASS CAMP CHARGES :- As specified by the class teacher/guardian , PAYABLE by the parent/fee payer (applicable from Class 3) – Cannot be added to the monthly fee account
FEES ARE PAYABLE ANNUALLY, TERMLY OR MONTHLY IN ADVANCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE OVERLEAF FEE POLICY – DEBIT ORDER PAYMENTS ARE THE PREFERED METHOD OF PAYMENT

2015 - CONDITIONS AS PER CONTRACT OF ENROLMENT

FEE POLICY

The financial liquidity of the Constantia Waldorf School is dependent on the prompt payment of school fees by parents/guardians.

All monthly fees are to be PAID IN ADVANCE on or before the 1st working day of every month.

METHODS OF PAYMENT

1.  Monthly DEBIT ORDER and STOP ORDER payments over 12 months, January to December 2015.

2.  Monthly (EFT) Electronic Funds Transfer or (CSH) CASH methods of payments may only be done over 10 months (January to October 2015).

3.  Your child’s full name and account reference number should appear on the deposit slip and the details faxed to us, so that we are able to identify your payment.

4.  We prefer not to accept cash at school.

EARLY SETTLEMENT of FEES

A 3% rebate is offered for fees paid annually in advance, on or before 15th January 2015.In terms of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) the interest of all early payments will be kept by the school.

ADMININSTRATION CHARGES

1.  Failure by parents/guardians to make fee payments by the 1st working day of every month will result in a late payment charge of R250.00 per month.

2.  Repeated late payments will not be tolerated

NON or SHORT PAYMENT OF MONTHLY/TERMLY/ANNUAL FEES – POLICY and PROCEDURES

1.  Outstanding fees of the previous MONTH/TERM /YEAR will be handed over to the attorneys of Constantia Waldorf School for collection. Parents/Guardians will be liable for payment of costs on the scale as between attorney and client, including collection charges.

2.  Parents/Guardians will be expected to immediately remove the children from school.

(Only in exceptional circumstances, and at the discretion of the Board of Trustees and in conjunction with the Debtors Mandate Group, will a pupil be allowed to enter a new term if any portion of the fees of the previous term is unpaid.)

WITHDRAWAL NOTICE

Once the pupil has entered the school, a minimum of 1 x term’s written notice of withdrawal (or two terms at the end of Primary School) and a written request for the refund of the Acceptance Deposit must be given to the office, if the parent wishes to terminate this contract for any reason and to withdraw the pupil prior to the final exit examination. If such notice is not given, a full term’s fees, at the rate applicable for the next term in which the pupil would have been, shall be paid in lieu thereof. Likewise, if the school elects for any reason to terminate this contract, then it may do so, on giving the parent a clear term’s written notice of its decision to terminate the contract at the end of the term in question, at which time the parent must withdraw the pupil. A CEMIS transfer certificate will be issued on the pupil’s last day of school or when the fee account is fully settled.

PARTICIPATION

It is important for us to maintain regular contact between parents and teachers. General information is sent out electronically through our newsletter, The Grapevine, keeping families up to date with the happenings at the school. During the year you would be expected to regularly attend Class Parent evenings, talks, the Annual General Meeting and Festivals and from time to time we have introductory courses in Waldorf Education and Parent Conferences and parents are asked to attend, if they have not previously done so, in order that our methods and expectations can be explained. The school holds at one major fundraiser event during the year and all families are expected to play an active part in these events. Parents are held responsible tor supporting our school’s expectations and requirements.

ON ACCEPTANCE

A CEMIS transfer certificate or letter must be obtained from the previous school and handed to the admissions office prior to commencement in order for compulsory registration with the Western Cape Education Department.

STUDY PERMITS/VISAS

Study permits/visas and/or proof of application in the name of our School (Constantia Waldorf School) are compulsory for all Non-South African pupils prior to entry.

PERSONAL PROPERTY

Constantia Waldorf School does not accept responsibility for any personal property brought to school.

DECLARATION

The Board of Trustees of the Constantia Waldorf School reserves the right to make adjustments to the school fees and related charges from time to time, as it may deem fit.
