Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall management of assigned AFC homes, including property, furnishings, safety, finances, and overall operations.
  • Provide individual and group supervision to the AFC staff.
  • Ensure that service plans are implemented and supports are being provided by AFC staff as outlined in individuals’ service plans.
  • Provide and/or oversee meal planning and shopping as needed for homes and individuals receiving services.
  • Manage the household budget responsibly and use supplies and equipment efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting and maintain services records for each individual receiving services
  • Attend all CIP Manager’s Meetings, AFC House Manager Meetings, and other appropriate CIP functions as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Credentials/Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Reliable transportation to be used as needed for work related functions.
  • Degree in Behavioral Science or a related field preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be able to obtain Mental Health Certification.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience is required, preferably supervision of direct support staff/mental health workers.
  • Experience working in the field and knowledge of mental health services and practices is required.
  • Must pass a Department of Human Services background study.
  • Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret documents

Work Environment:

The employee in this position typically works in more than one Adult Foster Care home. The employee will also be exposed to outdoor weather conditions during some agency events and when traveling on company business. The position requires driving between AFC homes. The employee in this position typically works Monday through Friday (8am-4pm). May need to work evenings, weekends and overnights hours as required by program/staffing needs. Must participate in on-call rotation with other AFC Managers.
