February 5th 2018

Dear Parents/Carers of children year 4 and 5

Royal Festival Hall Concert and Rehearsals

We have been invited to take 30 Children from year 4 and 5 to perform with the Bird College Bexley Primary Schools First Access Violins in concert at the Royal Festival Hall on Thursday 29th March 2018 – 6:00pm – 8:30pm.

All of the children in year 4 and 5 play the violin in their class music lessons and will be learning the three pieces that they will play for the concert as part of their music lessons.

On the concert day itself we will take the children to the Royal Festival Hall by train in the morning for a rehearsal and then the children will perform for you with the choir and other groups in a concert starting at 6:00pm.

You will be required to either attend the concert or make arrangements for your child to be picked up from the Royal Festival Hall after the concert finishes at 9:30pm.

If you would like your child to perform in the concert then please fill in and return the permission slip below by 9th February at the latest. We only have 20 places and will accept the first 20 that we receive. Once we have a final list of 30 names, we will send out letters containing full details of the event including how to purchase tickets and pick up point details for after the concert as well as requesting full permissions and contact details for parents and carer.

Yours Sincerely

Paul Gregory – Music coordinator
