The “River Bend Country Club”

Private Cart Policy - Sept. 1, 2003

The following policies will apply to all Private Cart Members.

1.   The number of Private Cart Memberships will be limited to 50 carts. An application must be filled out in order to request such a membership. These are available in the Pro Shop and will be approved by management. The appearance of the private cart will also be subject to the approval by Club Management.

2.   The cost for a Family Cart Membership for the season is $990.00 paid annually or $90.00 paid monthly. The cost for a Single Cart Membership is $880.00 paid annually or $80.00 paid monthly. The Club reserves the right to change this fee at Club’s discretion and will provide private cart member with 60 days prior notice of scheduled change. Private Cart Member and all dependent family members may use that Private Cart and pay no daily cart fees.

3.   Private Cart Members will make their private carts available to River Bend Golf & Country Club (”Club” or “River Bend”) on days where the golf course has large groups and/or tournaments and requires a total fleet of carts in excess of 40. Club will contact member more than (1) week in advance to arrange the pick up of the private cart. Before private carts are returned to member, Club will wash and check all tire pressure on cart.

4.   All private carts are to be stored at private cart owner’s home.

5.   River Bend will provide a membership decal to all Private Cart Members that must be displayed on private cart at all times.

6.   If one person in the Private Cart family is playing and the spouse is not on a certain day, another Private Cart Member can ride on that cart for no fee.

7.   If another person who is not a Private Cart Member is on a Private Cart Member’s cart, that person is required to pay the normal cart fee in the Pro Shop.

8.   If the Private Cart Member’s cart is in use by spouse playing on a different tee time, another spouse or family must pay the cart fee in order to use a River Bend cart.

9.   If a Private Cart Member’s cart is broken and out of service, and that Private Member elects to rent an electric cart or pull cart at River Bend, the Private Cart Member will pay the member cart rate in the Pro Shop for use of a River Bend cart. If River Bend has been selected as the entity that will conduct the repairs to broken cart, the Club will make a loaner available to the Private Cart Member on the days the repairs will be completed and the Club has possession of said cart. The club does not have the ability to store carts in need of service on its site.

10.   River Bend will make available a proposal to any Private Cart Member who wishes to replace or purchase a new cart.

11.   River Bend will make it’s maintenance staff available to Private Cart Members for repairs to private carts at a rate of $15.00/hour plus the cost of the necessary parts.

12.   If a Private Cart Member is playing by him/herself in their private cart and Club elects to pair this person up with another twosome (one of which is walking and one of which is riding), club will make every effort to make a River Bend cart available to that person. However, depending on availability of River Bend carts and demand for carts that day, Club reserves the right to put that person in the Private Member’s cart and collect the normal cart fee in the Pro Shop. The Club will not make a third cart available in that situation if there are three people joining that member and all wish to ride.

13.   If two, three, or four Private Cart Members are each on their own cart and wish to play together, it will be up to the manager or starter on duty at their discretion to determine if it will be allowable to let more than two carts play together as a group. The Club reserves the right to require that the group consolidate into two of the Private Carts.
