OIEA SPEECH CONTEST (MUST have five participants or more):
1. Speech Contest theme is: NURTURING THE WARRIOR: Building Skills For Success”
2. Prepare your speech to be a minimum of 4 minutes and no more than five minutes
3. The speech competition encourages Indian Youth to showcase their speaking abilities.
4. The 1st place winner of the speech contest will win a trip to attend the National Indian Education Conference in Rapid City, S.D. The dates of the Annual NIEA Conference are October 30-November 2, 2013. When attending NIEA the youth strand may include a speech contest and the winner will represent OIEA by competing in the contest. All arrangements will be coordinated by Urbana Ross.
OIEA 3 on 3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT:
1.) A drawing by the tournament coordinator will choose all teams.
2.) Bring your shoes (no street shoes allowed on floor) and gear to participate in the tournament. All competitors are asked to bring white and black t-shirt to play in.
3.) All Students will need to sign a waiver to participate in the 3 on 3 basketball tournament.
(University will provide).
4.) There will be prizes for the winning teams.
