Evaluating Internet Sources Homework
The first source that I found for my researchpaper was from pbs.org. I can tell from the reputation of the PBS organization as well as their television stations, that this source would be a reliable source for my research topic. In addition, the material I found from pbs.org is also featured on a show called Frontline. This show is very informative and tells the public about various issues in American History and it is extremely reputable because the information given is considered true and accurate. Although there is no specific author for this article, I can rely on the PBS organization and the reputation of the show Frontline in order to deem this source reliable. Moreover, this site has a copyright and is part of a public educational foundation. I would grade this source a five out of five because of its reliability, reputation and non-biased information. The second source that I am using for my research paper is an article that was published in The Atlantic Monthly in 1965. This article is an actual interview with W.E.B. Du Bois just before he died where he discusses his life and the ideas of Booker T. Washington. This source is extremely helpful to use in my research paper and is very reliable because it comes from the reputable magazine The Atlantic Monthly. This American magazine focuses on issues that are occurring in America during the time of its release every month and a first-hand account of W.E.B. Du Bois’ opinions is probably the most reliable non-biased material that I can find. This article has an author and a date in which it was published in the magazine. I give this source a five out of five for reliability and accurate information. My next source is also from The Atlantic Monthly and is written by W.E.B. Du Bois himself. Like the previous source, I can rely on The Atlantic Monthlymagazine for its accurate information. The fact that it was written by W.E.B. Du Bois about his views on black education shows this source would be extremely helpful for my research paper. Du Bois’ article also reflects accurately his views on this topic. I give this source a five out of five because of its accurate information, reputable site, and the reputation of the author as well.
