Our weekly meetings will be devoted to:

  • Supervision of practicum work
  • Case conceptualization
  • Skill practice
  • Student presentations of taped therapy sessions
  • Advising
  • Discussion of readings on pertinent issues
  • Discussion of ethical issues
  • Discussion of multicultural issues in therapy
  • Getting the most out of your on-site supervision
  • Instructional videotapes, speakers and discussion topics chosen by the group

Please let me know as soon as possible if you require any accommodations to be successful in this seminar.Please keep in mind that on-time, consistent attendance is part of the requirement for successful completion of Therapy Seminar.

Ground Rules:

●Confidentiality—keep what is said in the group confidential, except with permission, and except for what JF may communicate to other faculty members as your seminar leader and advisor.

●Be involved, contribute to the group—use this as an opportunity to hone your skills at giving both positive and negative feedback.

●Respect the group by letting us know as far in advance as possible if you have to miss a meeting.

●Be ready to start seminar on time each week
