Minutes of the Meeting Held at Butt Lane Surgery on 6th January, 2016

The Minutes of the last PPG meeting dated 4th November, 2015 were read and approved.
Matters Arising:
1. Update on Dr’s Retirement:
Dr Arshad gave the Members reassurance that he had managed to locate two new Doctors who were due to join the Practice shortly. In addition he had up to three locum Doctors to cover the interim period.
Information about this is now being displayed on the January Video and in the Surgeries.
2.Subjects for February Videos:
A Power Point presentation to be included in the Feb Video regarding the imminent introduction of Electronic Prescription Service. In addition a hard copy to be produced for the Surgeries
Peter suggested an item re \the good qualities of Eating Dates. He will forward a link to Colin.
3.Forthcoming 2nd Newsletter:
Colin showed the Group a sample for the next Newsletter due out shortly. This was passed within the Group and suggested changes were made. The order for this will be placed and should be available next week.

EPS Problems arising: An Invitation was issued to the Group to Attend the next Locality Meeting, to be held at Newcastle Fire Stationon Wednesday 20th January commencing at 6pm. During this meeting Mr Pickard a representative of NHS England will answer questions regarding this matter.
Dr Arshad said that he had acquired some PC Hardware which may be of use to the Group.
Dianne mentioned that she may be able to find some help with further Community Funding.
Next Meeting will beon Monday 7th March, 2016.
This will be the AGM followed by a short PPG meetingatWaterhayes Surgery at 6.30pm. It is essential that as many members as possible attend.
