Description / 2003 In September, on contract with the IIZ-DVV (Institute for International Co-operation of the German Adult Education Association) organised an international conference entitled ‘Mediterranean Conference on Lifelong Learning’ in which academic experts, national policy makers, national agencies and NGOs from nineteen countries came together and discussed a programme of work for the coming months, on lifelong learning partnerships and actions. Responsible for the financial, organisational and budgetary aspects of this conference.
1999 Commissioned by the Curriculum Management Department to edit and produce a publication on creative expression in primary schools. Edited and published seminar proceedings, books and publications.
1996 – ongoing: Carried out various contracts for the Friedrich Ebert Foundation of Germany.
1997 Appointed as a member of the Social Issues Working Group which carried out action research and analysis to contribute to the formulation of a holistic Regional Socio-Economic Development Plan for the South of Malta, which emphasised the social, historic and cultural dimensions of development alongside the economic and infrastructural components.

TRANSLATION EXPERIENCE

3½ years experience of freelance translating, revising and proofreading – on a part-time basis, approx. 50 hours weekly (including weekends) for Oct-June; 70 hours weekly (including weekends) for July-Sept, Dec.
