The Whitman College Renaissance FaireCommittee would like to invite you to participate in our 48th Annual Renaissance Faire, to be held on Saturday, April 22nd, 2017, from 10am to 5pm. You havereceivedthis letter because you are in our database or we were given one of your business cards. If, for any reason, you would like to be taken off of our mailing list please email Kaitlin Harrison at ith the name of your business and we will do so.
Merchants have the option of either buying a booth space to sell at, or wandering the street to peddle wares.Booth spaces come in 3 sizes (reduced rates in parentheses apply to non-profit organizations and Whitman students/staff/faculty):
Small (12 ft. long x 11 ft.wide) -- $25 ($10)
Medium (12 ft. long x 22 ft. wide) -- $45 ($18)
Large (12 ft. long x 33 ft. wide) -- $60 ($24)
Wandering Merchant (no booth space) -- $10
PLEASE ensure ALL of your wares, tables, etc., will fit entirely inside of your booth space--although there will be open grass behind you, we are not legally allowed to sell products on Whitman property, so you must stay on the street.
Electricity is available upon request; water is also available, but must be transported (no running water hookups). Please remember capacities are limited and the earliest requests will have priority.
Booths offering food must obtain a Temporary Food Service Permit and food handlers must have a Food Worker Card, both of which can be acquired through the Walla Walla County Health Department. To avoid late fees, permits must be obtained at least 1 week ahead. The Walla Walla County Health Department can be reached at:

We offer the option of borrowing tables and chairs for booths. This is an outdoor event and we cannot provide shelter from rain, sun or wind, though we greatly encourage you bring your own. We also encourage all merchants to come to Fairein a Medieval- or Renaissance-style costume. This is not required, and costumes do not have to be strictly authentic, but it does add to the merry Faire atmosphere. If you need suggestions or ideas, we can provide you with information on making your own clothes or altering modern clothing.
If you are interested in participating in our Faire, please fill out the attached application and either email it to Kaitlin Harrisonat r mail it to the address below. You can either pay on the day of the Faire, or include a check made out to ASWC with your application.

NOTE: The Whitman Renaissance Faire is bringing back the Food Runners this year.Food Runners will be available in the middle of the day to retrieve sustenance for merchants who cannot leave their stands. For $1, plus the cost of the food, a runner will bring you back something of your choice from the food stands.
