SIX MONTHS OLD ABDUCTION – CUM – MURDER MYSTERY SOLVED BY NORTH EAST DISTRICT POLICE & SPECIAL CELL

With the arrest of (1) Mohd. Ashfaq aged 25 years s/o Mohd. Nazmul r/o Vill. Dhingoch, Post & P.S. – Ronta, Distt. Purnia, Bihar; (2) Mohd. Javed aged 22 years s/o Lal Mohd. r/o Vill. Rattan Garh, Kasba & P.S. – Rattan Garh, Near Ganesh Mandir, Subzi Mandi, Distt. Churu, Rajasthan; (3) Mehfooz aged 23 years s/o Late Mainuddin r/o Vill. Dhingoch, Post & P.S. – Rohta, Distt. Purnia, Bihar and (4) Mohd. Shakir aged 24 years s/o Mohd. Suleman r/o H.No. R-48/2, Gali No.21, Braham Puri, Delhi, North East District police has solved an abduction-cum-murder case of a young man.

TEAM & INCIDENT

Two teams consisting of (1) Inspr. Subhash Vats, Inspr. Govind Sharma, ASI Amrik Singh, Ct. Umesh and Ct. Raj Kumar of Spl. Cell, Delhi; (2) Inspr. Inspr. V.S. Malik, SHO/Gokal Puri, Inspr. Law & Order Arvind Sagar Negi, SI Ompal Singh, SI Prakash Roy, HC Yogender, Ct. Arvind, Ct. Samay Singh, Ct. Harender was constituted under the supervision of Shri R.P. Gautam, ACP/Gokal Puri.

On 26.06.07, one Mohd. Iqbal s/o Gafur Ahmed r/o B-85, Gokal Puri, Delhi got lodged a missing report of his brother Mohd. Idrish aged 30 years since 24.06.07 at P.S. Gokal Puri. On 30.06.07, complainant Mohd. Iqbal suspected that someone had kidnapped his brother Mohd. Idrish. Subsequently, a case of abduction was registered at PS Gokal Puri on the same day and investigation was taken up.

INVESTIGATION & INTERROGATION

During investigation, a police team consisting of above mentioned police officers was constituted and close friends and relatives of Mohd. Idrish were interrogated but no clue could be ascertained. Appropriate Scientific Methods were deployed during investigation by North East District Police and Special Cell to trace the movement of victim and suspects which bore results. One Mohd. Sarfuddin r/o 460, Shahzada Marg, Inder Lok, Delhi was found in possession of the mobile phone of the abducted person. He was apprehended and during interrogation, he disclosed that his friend Mohd. Ashfaq had arranged that a SIM card through his identity proof and his another friend Mohd. Mehfooz who belonged to his native village, had arranged the Handset of the abducted person.

At the instance of Sarfuddin, both his friends Mohd. Ashfaq and Mohd. Mehfooz were apprehended. During sustained interrogation of Mohd. Mehfooz, he disclosed that he along with his friends Mohd. Javed and Mohd. Sakir who were relatives of abducted persons Mohd. Idrish, had abducted Mohd. Idrish. At his instance, both Mohd. Javed and Mohd. Sakir were apprehended. During interrogation, it was found that it was a case of personal vendetta, the motive of which is being ascertained. On 24.06.07, Sakir, Mehfooz and Javed brought a Maruti Zen car along with driver Imran and Mohd. Saim @ Vicky and picked up Mohd. Idrish from his house on the pretext of taking a bath in Holy river Ganga. They took the car through Meerut Road to Dasna Masuri, UP where they all removed the belongings of Mohd. Idrish including his mobile phone and drowned him in the Gang Nehar water and thereafter threatened driver Imran and Mohd. Saim @ Vicky not to disclose about the incident to anyone. On their pointing out, Maruti Car used in the commission of offence, has been recovered.

Further investigation is in progress and efforts are being made to recovered the dead body of the deceased and his mobile phone.

(1)Mohd. Ashfaq s/o Mohd. Nazmul r/o Vill. Dhingoch, Post & P.S. – Ronta, Distt. Purnia, Bihar is 25 years old. He is illiterate. He works in a Hotel Dawat Mejban at Inder Puri, Delhi.

(2)Mohd. Javed s/o Lal Mohd. r/o Vill. Rattan Garh, Kasba & P.S. – Rattan Garh, Near Ganesh Mandir, Subzi Mandi, Distt. Churu, Rajasthan is 22 years old. He has studied upto 9th standard. He is presently residing at R-101, Gali No.21, Braham Puri, Delhi on rent. He is engaged in the manufacturing of bangles.

(3)Mehfooz s/o Late Mainuddin r/o Vill. Dhingoch, Post & P.S. – Rohta, Distt. Purnia, Bihar is 23 years old. He is presently residing in a rent house at Usman Pur and works as a labourer with Mohd. Javed.

(4)Mohd. Shakir s/o Mohd. Suleman r/o H.No. R-48/2, Gali No.21, Braham Puri, Delhi is 24 years old. He is presently residing in a rent house at Usman Pur and works as a labourer with Mohd. Javed.
