Kelly Carroll welcomed everyone to Montgomery and thanked Ja’net for hosting the meeting.

There were two new Clerks. Mary from Ripley and Vikki from Mt. Healthy. Welcome to you both !!

A motion to approve the May 2017 minutes was requested by Ja’net Crawford with a second by Carrie Surber.

Jessica Eastham was absent, so Becky Rosenbalm presented the Treasurer’s Report. A motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report was requested by Michele Naish with a second by Brianna Yarbrough.

Old Business:

Nothing at this time.

New Business:

Our Fall Conference will be held at the Mariott/Columbus/Airport Location on September 21 and 22, 2017.

The information regarding the conference will be included.

Information regarding the Mayor’s Court refresher training provided by the Ohio Municipal League in Columbus is also included.

Training:

Meeting attendees participated in an online training via the Supreme Court website regarding Legal Advice vs. Legal Information. Please visit the following link to register for an account so you will have these available to you as well.

Open Disussion:

There was some discussion between Clerks regarding Indigent Defendants and form that are used, etc. I have attached some forms that are used in a few Courts to help determine whether a defendant is indigent and eligible for a Court Appointed Attorney, etc.

With nothing further, a motion to adjourn the meeting was requested by Lynn Sorrell with a second by Ginny Wagner.
