Global Value Lighting (GVL) is a Joint Venture formed between Lighting Science Group, a technology and intellectual property powerhouse and MLS, one of the largest suppliers of LED bulbs and components in the world. The mission of GVL is to become the premier provider of private label LED lighting solutions through retail, commercial and on-line partners. GVL is already one of the top LED private label suppliers, and is looking to extend their market leading position by providing private label LED solutions into the broad retail market. We are looking for experienced retail salespeople, who have a proven track record of successfully partnering with retail and on-line accounts to build either their private label or branded business.

PURPOSE
Generate retail sales and support business development in North American Market.

Reports to: President Global Value Lighting

Department/s Interacts with : Supply, Engineering, Customer Support, Marketing
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
·  Identify and prioritize coverage of top customers and build a sales plan for a focused target list to create a pipeline of near and long-term opportunities.
·  Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential distributors.
·  Generate sales through participation in weekly marketing campaigns and promotions
·  Understand and articulate product strengths, competitive positioning, and opportunity-specific value propositions
·  Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
·  Support of product management and marketing in specifying and launching new products
·  Operate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to maintain intra-organizational communication
·  Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses

JOB REQUIREMENTS / HIRING PROFILE
Qualifications / · Bachelor’s degree
Work Experience / ·  3 - 5+ years of successful sales-related roles including internal or external sales representative, or related fields
Knowledge / · Basic sales techniques and best practices
Skills / · Excellent verbal/written computer skills
· Strong problem-solving skills with analytical, detail-oriented approach
