*We strongly encourage nightly basic multiplication fact practice so that your child can build fact fluency. Knowing the basic facts, “snappy quick” will definitely be an asset as students work with fractions.

Library: We will have library this week. Please remind your child to bring his/her books to school on Thursday.

Science Garden: We will be in the Science Garden with Ms. Jeanele this week.

Music: We will have Music with Mr. Ball next week.

*Thanks to the families of LCM and our PTO for supporting our music and science garden programs!

STUDENT COUNCIL

Spirit Days:

June 10th, Beach Day

Thank you for supporting Pennies for Pasta! LCM donated over $2,800.00 to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. We are excited to be the class with the highest donations….we will find out details about our catered Pasta Lunch soon! Thank you for your generosity.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

At LCM we make, “Every Minute Count”. Please make sure to have your child at school, each morning, and on time. If you need to take your child out of school for an appointment, please make every effort to do so at the end of the day. Thanks for your help!

Absences and Early Pick Ups:

We have many standards to teach and assess in 4th grade. First and foremost, I ask that you do your very best to have your child in class (even on Fridays). I am willing to send home, work for your child to help them stay “up to speed” when an absence/early pick up occurs. If I don’t know that your child is being picked up early, I am unable to prepare work when the office calls. I am typically teaching during this time and cannot stop to gather materials to send home. Please let me know about absences ahead of time so that I can prepare the materials during my prep time or

at lunch. Thank you for your understanding!
