ROYAL YEOMANRY REGIMENTAL ASSOCIATION
ADMINISTRATIVE INSTRUCTION
SITUATION
1.The Combined Cavalry Old Comrades Association (CCOCA) annual memorial parade will take place at 1100hrs on Sun 8 May 2016 in HYDE PARK where The Royal Yeomanry will be lead regiment this year.
AIM
2.The primary aim of this annual event is to maintain contact and comradeship between past
andpresent members of all respective cavalry regiments and to foster esprit de corps amongst
its members.
EXECUTION
- The parade will be split into 4 phases.
- Phase 1 – Form up of all contingents on the BROAD WALK
- Phase 2 – Step off and march past
- Phase 3 – Service of Remembrance at the Bandstand under the Chaplin General
- Phase 4 – Dispersal for RYRA lunch / refreshments at the ATHENAEUM CLUB.
CO-ORDINATING INSTRUCTIONS
4.Timings.
a.Parade will form up at 1025hrs and step off at 1100hrs.
b.Service of Remembrance complete NLT 1200hrs
c.Lunch / refreshments served at ATHENAEUM CLUB 1230hrs onwards

6.Rehearsals. A walkthrough of the parade format will take place at 1100hrs Friday 22nd April
at the BANDSTAND in HYDE PARK. Those identified as performing duties on the 8th May are
required to attend to be briefed by CCOCA Chairman and RSM. Dress suits.
7.Dress.
- Officers are to wear dark lounge suits with a white shirt or shirt with a stiff white collar. Black bowler hats are to be worn and black regulation size umbrellas are to be carried tightly furled. Royal Yeomanry regimental ties are to be worn.
- Other Ranks. Suits or dark coloured blazers and trousers are to be worn with a white shirt and Royal Yeomanry regimental tie (serving) or their squadron association tie (retired or affiliated).
- Parade RSM / Markers / CCOCA Wreath Party. Blues as per Guidon Parade. Note – Wreath party does not require swords.
- CCOCA Banner. Dark lounge suit with a white shirt, Royal Yeomanry regimental tie.
- Kohima Script – MTP / PCS
8. Enclosure Tickets.In addition to the existing format of the seated enclosure adjacent to the
bandstand, an additional secured standing enclosure has been made available to enable
friends and family to attend the service behind the regimental detachments on the grass around
the bandstand.
Access to the area will be via three entry points, established at each end of the Serpentine
Road, and from the Broad Walk. The Serpentine Road entrances will close promptly at
1055hrs, however the Broad Walk entrance will remain open at all times.
Requests for both Seated and Standing enclose tickets are to be made to Mr Chris Chadwick
who holds the RY allocation. Note, access to both the seated and standing areas is strictly by
ticket only.
9. Lunch.There will be post parade lunch at 1230hrs at the ATHENAEUMCLUB, 107 Pall
Mall, London, SW1Y 5ER.Cost will be £30 per head and MUST be booked in advance.
Cheques are to be made payableto “The Royal Yeomanry Regimental Association”. Drinks are
not included in the ticket price and those attending may purchase drinks from the cash bar (no
credit cards).
- Association Secretaries are requested to submit numbers with payment to Mr Chris Chadwick NLT 1st May 16.

- PSAO / SSM are requested to collate names of serving personnel and family members or friends who wish to attend NLT 1st May 16. Those on RD will be mess billed. We are unable to mess bill ERE personnel and thus payment is by cheque in advance.
Those who have not booked in for lunch will not be permitted to take lunch on the day although
they are very welcome to attend and make use of the bar.
SERVICE SUPPORT
10.Transport. Sqn SSM’s are requested to liaise with the MTWO for specifictransport
requirements for travel to HYDE PARK for duty personnel. Association secretaries are
requestedto contact Mr Chris Chadwick on 07974 788312 to confirm requirements for Disabled
Parking Permit holders.
11.Medical. Medical support for the event is provided by St JOHNS AMBULANCE.
