Super Spellers
-There is a spelling homework each night from Monday-Thursday. The provided list shows you approved spelling homework assignments that you can CHOOSE from each night for Monday-Thursday. Please Do NOT do the same assignment twice in one week.
-Spelling is to be done in your spelling notebook only. Homework will be checked daily.
1. 3x each – Write each word 3 times.
2. 15 Sentences –Choose 15 words and write a sentence (8 words or more) with the spelling word in it. Underline the spelling word. You may not start more than 3 sentences with the same word.
3. ABC Order – The words should be placed in proper ABC order
4. Cursive Letters – Write your words first in print, then write each word using cursive handwriting.

5. Forward and Backward – Write each word forward and then backwards one time.
EXAMPLE: smile– elims
6. Pictures –Draw a picture that represents each word in your list. After the picture, tell me what word you “drew.”

7. Word Ladders –Complete a word ladder for each word.
EXAMPLE: s

8. Greatest to Least-Count the number of letters in each word. Write the words in order from GREATEST to LEAST. If words have the same amount of letters, write them in alphabetical order for that group.
9. Question it-Write each spelling word in a question sentence. Underline the spelling words.
EXAMPLE: What makes you smile?
10. Rainbow words-write each word in rainbow! Each letter must be written in a different color!
11. Capital Letters-Write your spelling words in all capital letters.
12. Type It – Use a computer to type up the words. Print out the list and glue it into your spelling notebook. Do not pick this choice if you do not have a working printer.
13. Reverse ABC order-Write your spelling words in reverse ABC order, starting with Z first!
14. Uppercase/Lowercase-Write your spelling words in uppercase/lowercase pattern.

15. Blue Consonants/Red Vowels-Write your spelling words in blue and red letters. Vowels-a,e, i, o, u would be red, and all other letters would be blue.
