Founding Faculty Scholarship

2017-2018Application

The McHenry County College Founding Faculty Scholarship is awarded in recognition of the contributions, over thirty years, of retired founding faculty of McHenry County College.

Three scholarships worth 60 tuition credit hours each at McHenry County College will be awarded in recognition of retired faculty members David B. Hill, John D. Konitzer, and Erwin Cornelius.

The scholarship does not pay for fees or books. Recipients must be residents of McHenry County College District 528. Recipients are also required to enroll in at least 12 credit hours each Fall and Spring semester and maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA at MCC.

Applicants are to submit this application and all other materials (listed on back) by Friday, February 17, 2017 to the McHenry County CollegeOffice of Financial Aid(Room A262). Students of all ages are welcome to apply.

2017-2018 Application Instructions

Applicants are to submit this application and all other materials listed here by

Friday, February 17, 2017to the McHenry County College Office of Financial Aid (A262).

  1. Completed Founding Faculty Scholarship Application
  1. Short essay (double-spaced, 250 – 300 words) describing an exceptional teacher you’ve had and how that individual has impacted your educational pursuits
  1. Copy of anofficial transcript showing your GPA or GED (MCC transcripts must also be official)

NOTE: All materials must be submitted as one packet. Application materials should be submitted in a secured report cover, including a cover page. Once application is submitted to the Financial Aid office we will no longer accept materials relating to your application.

All items submitted become the property of McHenry County College.

Applicants will be notified as to whether they have been selected to receive one of the three available MCC Founding Faculty Scholarships.
