External Catering Waiver Policy
This agreement made on the ______day of ______, 2017 by ______, on behalf of Ingenium Canada.
Indemnity: This outside caterer has entered into an agreement with a client of Ingenium Canada whereby the outside caterer will provide food and/or beverage services for events taking place at Canada Aviation and Space Museum, Canada Agriculture and Food Museum or Canada Science and Technology Museum. The outside caterer agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Ingenium Canada and its subsidiaries and employees against any liabilities.
Insurance: Prior to operating on any Ingenium site the outside caterer shall obtain and maintain General Liability Insurance to include the period in which service is to be provided valued at $5,000,000 of coverage. This coverage shall include liquor liability coverage where applicable. A certificate of insurance evidencing such coverage and naming Ingenium Canada as additionally insured must be supplied no later than two weeks prior to an event.
Food Service: Outside caterer shall comply with all applicable municipal, provincial and federal laws and regulations pertaining to handling and service. Outside caterer is responsible for obtaining all necessary licenses and permits required in connection with service of food and/or beverages on any Ingenium site. Copies of all required permits are to be submitted to Ingenium no later than 2 weeks prior to any event.
Alcoholic Beverages: Outside caterer is responsible for obtaining required permits as indicated by municipal, provincial and federal law. All service staff must possess a valid Smart Serve Certification. Permits are to be submitted to Ingenium no later than 2 weeks prior to any event.
Facilities: Outside caterer agrees to receive no use of designated food service facilities, equipment, services, products and/or staff in preparation for and execution of event.
Venue Surcharge: Outside caterer agrees to pay Ingenium Canada a 10% venue surcharge applicable to each catering invoice. Surcharge to be paid within 30 days of event execution. Surcharge applicable to entire catering invoice prior to taxes and gratuity.
