  • Arrangements for transporting/moving of people to and from off site activities safely

  • Sufficient number of staff trained in emergency procedures and use of first aid equipment

  • Netball posts are stable and inspected regularly for rust and damage
  • Procedure for reporting damaged/faulty equipment
  • Equipment suitable for the age of the pupils and intended purpose
  • Arrangements to ensure that equipment is easily accessible from storage areas
  • Adoption of safe practice in lifting, carrying and lowering heavy or bulky equipment by both
staff and pupils
  • Floors/surfaces suitable for the activity to be undertaken
  • All clothing worn by staff and pupils appropriate for the activity
  • Arrangements for the provision of protective clothing and equipment (where needed) which
meets acceptable standards appropriate for the intended purpose
  • Ensure policies and safety rules known to staff and pupils as appropriate
