Business and Professional Women’s

Scholarship Application

The Marion Business and Professional Women’s Scholarship will be awarded annually to a graduating senior girl at Marion High School. Any girl planning to pursue a college education is invited to apply. The scholarship is administered by the Marion Unit #2 Foundation. The amount of this scholarship is $600.00, and the applicant may select her choice of college/university.

Requirements for the scholarship:

  • Applicant must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Applicant must submit an autobiography of not more than 200 words stating the career or profession that she has chosen and the reason for making this choice. Include a statement as to why you want or need this scholarship.
  • A transcript of the applicant’s high school record should be attached to the application.
  • A copy of admission to a college/university must be included

Criteria for awarding the scholarship will be weighted in the following manner:

Typed applications must be turned in by the deadline. No late or incomplete application will be considered. Please do not include photos or a cover page, and do not place your application in a binder. Staple pages together in upper left-hand corner. The scholarship will be presented to the recipient at the MHS scholarship awards program.
