TIMS Training-Traffic Incident Management System

What- TIMS training is design to make a uniform system for anyone that will be assigned to a critical incident or traffic crash on Missouri’s highways. It is an in depth look at how we as first responder arrive and set up these scenes. The class is designed to give an established criteria for all responders in order to keep them safe.

Who- Any responder that will be involved with a critical incident or major traffic crashes on any Missouri highway. This includes but not limited to; Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS, MODOT, Tow Companies, Emergency Management, and Communications. This is a four hour block of instruction that is POST certified. Continuing Education hours will be available.

When- March 15, 2016- Three sessions, Troop E, 0800, 1300, 1700. March 29, 2016- Three sessions, Sikeston DPS, 0800, 1300, 1700. April 2, 2016- Two Sessions, Troop E, 0800, 1300. April 4, 2016, Two sessions, Troop E, 0800, 1300. April 11, 2016, Two sessions, Sikeston DPS, 0800, 1300. May 7, 2016, Two sessions, Sikeston DPS, 0800, 1300. May 10, 2016, Two Sessions, Troop E, 0800, 1300. May 24, 2016, Two sessions, Sikeston DPS, 0800, 1300.

Where- Troop E Headquarters, 4947 Highway 67 North, Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Seating will be limited to 48 seats, per session. Sikeston DPS, 201 South Kingshighway, Sikeston, Missouri. Goal- The goal of this training is to establish a set criteria for responses to these incidents. Making sure that safety of those responders is the top priority, but also making each responder aware of proper scene setup and making sure you have the tools and manpower you need to accomplish your mission.
