RESULTS – EAST COAST MASTERS/BIGFOOT EXPRESS FREIGHT SURF SWIM

The event was held under near perfect conditions. The visibility was perfect , there was a non-existent wave running and the sun shone brightly – a perfect day for a surf swim.

The event would not have been such a success without the support of the following:

BIGFOOT EXPRESS FREIGHT for their sponsorship that enabled us to host the event. As advised at the prize giving – Bigfoot are a transport company whose motto is ‘Big to small we haul them all”. They are represented in all the major centers in South Africa and I urge all to consider them when next having to transport once-off or regular shipments.

MUSCLE SCIENCE for their sponsorship of supplement hampers for the age group winners. Please support them when next purchasing supplements.

Roland Heuff for the donation of a bottle of bubbly which was presented to Bev Shuttleworth.

Neville Smith from Swim SA for bringing down the attendees of the Open Water Swim Camp they were hosting here in sunny Durbs – the additional swimmers certainly made the event a roaring success.

Les Tooms (who manned the beach until the last swimmer came in) , Liz Cordell , Caren Strydom , Colleen Bailey and Marina Williams for all the hard work they put in on the day to ensure that all swimmers were registered , numbered and timed. Many thanks ladies!
