Community Health Intiative”

Aim :to undertake architectural correction of the Health system to enable it to effectively handle increased allocations and promote policies that strengthen public health management and service delivery In the focused area.

Core strategies

The Four components of low cost health i.e- HEALTH HUB MODEL facilitates

(i)  Trains the members of the communities predominantly women and unemployed youth to serve as a “ village health workers “ (VHW ). The vhw”s disseminate health information to their communities, to treat minor health ailments, advises on chronic disease, and mobilize efforts to improve sanitation, hygiene, family planning, women and child nutrition and women’s economic rights etc….after the training period employment will be given to the needy to serve in ongoing project.

(ii)  Consolidating the primary health services in 200 villages through VHW based strategy where doctor based out reach MOBILE CLINICS per year would be conducted where around more than ten thousand people would be examined and receive quality treatment with diagnostic tests, essential medicines, health education and other needy health information and referrals for acute emergency services.

(iii)  Documentation, Dissemination and Net working—The project documents its efforts and the learning from the program and compiling suitable traing materials, information, education, communication /BEHAVIOUR CHANGE COMMUNICATION MATERIALS, AND GOOD SUCCESSFUL PRACTICESIN HEALTH CARE ON ONGOING BASIS.It also conducts various work shops.

Area of operation : The area will be covering 2 Mandal regions and surrounding areas covering approximately ten thousand Rural poor & needy individuals.

. Area of focus: Primary health care, basic diagnostic tests, counseling & Rehabilitation, palliative care to chronically ill patients, free Medicines & Medical aid, Referrals., training to village Health workers, specialist care for the disadvantaged and needy.

Strategy to be adopted : The project will be monitored from the centalised Rural Health clinic & training centre and will be covering the targeted area.

The Trust will recruit adequate number of volunteers to undertake the project and compensate them on the basis of number of patients brought in by them. One or two VHWS will recruited for every Mandal covered under the project.

The health workers is to identify and secure the necessary resources around the project area in order to provide an increased level of activity in prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation.

The concept is to provide basic health care to around 10 thousand marginalized and needy people completely on free of cost through free resources clinics and health screening activities by transparent mechanisms and direct service delivery methods.

All the activities pertaining to the implementation of the project will be monitored periodically by the “Project Advisory Committee “.

SCALABILTY :

-  TRAINING REPRESENTATIVES FROM Ngos, Govt workers and Health care professionals on health hub model at the head quarters.

-  Serving as advisors for projects based on Health Hub Model.
