Bill Laughlin (UAB) presided over the meeting.

Mike Terry (Regions Bank) was the meeting recorder.

The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., at Old Overton Club.

OLD BUSINESS

·  We need to locate a classroom space.

o  Mike has been working with ThinkData to get some rate information. $750 per day, would like to know instructor costs to compare full rates. Mike met with Judy Knoll and the rate would be about (mike will email the rate) for DB2 admin for a max of 16 students.

o  Mike is also working with his executives to possibly acquire classroom space within Regions. They have agreed to start looking into how to allow non-employees to use classrooms. Mike is continuing discussions on this topic and it is still looking positive.

·  There are several classes where there is interest, but waiting classroom before scheduling

o  DB2 training

o  COBOL training

§  Tammy High teaching, proposing a 3 day class.

§  Regions may be able to host

o  JavaScript training.

§  Blake knows a teacher and will reach out to him at Accelebrate (Eric Ladd).

§  Checking on equipment needs and room location.

§  Tammy may have a need, Bill may have 2-3

·  Powershell class, proposing 2 days.

o  See if we know anyone who teaches this, Samford and Regions together may have 10 students

o  Bill is going to reach out to our vendors to see if we have an instructor, I have reached out to Bob Payne, Lisa Runyan, New Horizons, and Discover ITT.

·  SSRS Training (10/7/15)

o  Interest expressed by team, currently have 4 registered.

·  Web Site updates

o  Request to add a feature when registrations are touched to email the sponsor

·  Discussions regarding the Members list:

o  Jefferson County – The Executive Member listed, Wayne Cree, is retired. Bill has reached out to the executive committee member Roosevelt Butler.

NEW BUSINESS

·  2015 Course schedule review

·  City of Birmingham is requesting an ASP .net VB class. We have a local instructor. Request a Syllabus.

·  Let's reschedule C# after October 1 to see if we can improve registrations
