Algoma Education Association Scholarship
This competitive $500.00 scholarship is presented to an Algoma High School graduating Senior who has shown high academic achievement, leadership abilities, involvement in school extra curricular activities and community and civic involvement. Preference is given to those pursuing a degree in education.
When funds permit, two scholarships may be awarded each year.
Deadline for application –May 5th3:00 p.m.
Scholarships are awarded based on an evaluation using the following criteria:
1. Academic Achievement 20 points
2. Leadership Abilities 20 points
3. Civic, Religious and/or Community Service 20 points
4. High school Extracurricular Activities 10 points
5. Required Essay 30 points
The Algoma Education Association Scholarship is nondiscriminatory. The underlying foundation of this scholarship is based on rewarding those students that excelled in academics, have been involved in high school activities and have been involved in their church and/or community.

May 5th. A typed application is preferred.
The winner will be announced at Senior Award’s Night.The funds will be sent directly to the institution once proof of enrollment is obtained. The funds will be applied to the student’s total bill for education.
