VICHNAJA PAMJAT’! - MEMORY ETERNAL!

======

Tropar of the Resurrection, Tone 8

You descended from on high, Merciful One. You accepted the three day burial to free us from our passions. Lord, our Life and Resurrection. Glory to You.

Tropar of the Pre-feast, Tone 4

Make ready, Zebulon and prepare Naphtali. You Jordan River, stop your flow and receive with great joy the Master coming to be baptised. You, Adam, rejoice with the First Mother Eve and hide not as you did in Paradise. For at the sight of your nakedness Christ has come to clothe you with the robe of innocence. Christ has appeared to renew all creation.

Tropar of the Church. Tone 1

In giving birth you preserved your virginity. In falling asleep you did not forsake the world, Birth-Giver of God. You were translated to life, Mother of Life, and through your prayers you deliver our souls from death.

Tropar of the Apostles, Tone 3

O holy apostles, entreat the merciful God, that He grant our souls remission of transgressions.

Kondak of the Resurrection, Tone 8

By rising from the tomb, You raised up the dead. Adam is risen and Eve exults in Your Resurrection. The entire world celebrates Your rising from the dead, Greatly Merciful One.

Kondak of the Pre-feast, Tone 4

Today, the Lord has appeared at the waters of the Jordan River. He cries out to John: “Be not afraid at having to baptise Me, for I have come to save Adam, the First-Created One”!

Glory… Kondak of the Apostles, Tone 2

In hymns, O you faithful, let us divinely praise the choir of the seventy apostles of Christ; for through them have we all learned to worship the indivisible Trinity. And they remain beacons of the divine Faith.

Now and ever… Kondak of the church, Tone 2

Neither the tomb nor death had power over the Birth-Giver of God; she is ever watchful in her prayers and in her intercession lies unfailing hope. For as the Mother of Life she has been translated to life by the One Who dwelt within her ever-virginal womb.

Prokimen, Tone 6

Lord, save Your people and bless Your inheritance.

Verse: Lord, to You will I call. My God, be not silent to me.

Alleluia Verses, Tone 8

May God be gracious to us and bless us.

May God’s Face shine upon us.
