LADOCK PARISH COUNCIL
TENDERS ARE INVITED FOR THE SPRAYING OF WEEDS IN LADOCK AND GRAMPOUND ROAD
WEED CONTROL
1 Areas indicated on the attached maps in Ladock village and Grampound Road village (approximately 3.35 km in total) to be sprayed with a single treatment by mid June 2018.
2 The pedestrian surfaces and roadside kerbs to be treated, but not the carriageway itself.
3 Due regard must be given for the safety of members of the public and continued availability of all public walkways.
4 Contractors will be expected to supply the following prior to signing of a contract with the Parish Council:
4.1 copies of relevant insurance certificates or employer liability and public liability
4.2 copies of certificates of training and competence of operatives
4.3 copies of Health and Safety compliance
4.4 confirmation that compliance with the Statutory Code of Practice for using plant protection products and/or herbicides/biocides has been followed
4.5 details of the herbicides/biocides most likely to be used
4.6 confirmation that the following have been carried out:- pre-work risk assessments, COSHH assessments and any other relevant Health and Safety paperwork including details on traffic management and the authority to work within the highway corridor, if applicable.
5 The contractor shall be responsible for ensuring that any works on or adjacent to the highway are undertaken within the appropriate legal frameworks and that any works are notified to the relevant authorities prior to commencement.
6 All materials, machinery, plant, expertise and health and safety precautions are the responsibility of the contractor.
7 By submitting a tender you are confirming that you are working legitimately on a self-employed basis and that all parties involved are compliant with current HMRC requirements.
8 Tenders to be sent to the Parish Clerk, Miss K Lutey, Nankilly Water, Ladock, Truro, TR2 4PS or . By 8 May 2018. Copies of relevant insurance and competence certificates to be attached to the tender.
