AzSAE offers a CAE Scholarship to one deserving member a year. The scholarship is designed to help aspiring CAEs cover the costs of studying for the CAE exam.Scholarship Award Recipients receive reimbursement of up to $500 for study material/courses and/or exam application fee.
Eligibility
To be eligible for AzSAE’sCAE scholarship, you must:
- Be a member of AzSAE for at least a year.
- Demonstrate significant progress toward CAE application requirements, including:
- Three years of experience as a CEO at a qualifying organization (trade association, professional society, individual membership organization, philanthropic organization, tribal organization or association management company) OR have five years of experience working at the staff level at a qualifying organization.
- Currently employed by a qualifying organization OR have been employed by such within the last five years.
- Bachelor's degree or higher OR in lieu of a degree, you have eight additional years of professional work experience.
- Being committed to upholding the ASAEStandards of Conductand have no felony convictions related to the practice of association management.
- Completed at least 75 hours of the required 100 hours of broad-basedqualifying professional developmentwithin five years.

Obligation of the Applicant
Scholarship recipients will be expected to “pay it forward” by volunteering or participating in at least one of the activities listed below.
- CAE Study Group Facilitator.
- Mentor at least one candidate for the scholarship program within 12 months of receiving the CAE designation.
Scholarship Award
$500 to support and assist with the costs associated with sitting for the CAE Exam* (i.e. Application Fee, CAE Core Resources, CAE Preparation Courses).
*For receipt of scholarship funds, recipient must submit a copy of theircompleted CAE Application within 12 months of scholarship acceptance.
