5th & 6th Grade Volleyball Players & Parents
Hello 5th and 6th grade volleyball players and parents! The volleyball season is fast
approaching. This year we have some exciting changes planned for the 5th & 6th graders.
We will be having competitive teams with more involved practices and playing matches
against other elementary teams in our area. Our volleyball program will run very similar to
how the youth basketball programs in Beulah operates.
We will be organizing practices, obtaining uniforms, and making a schedule for matches.
My hope is to schedule about 2-3 matches to be held in Beulah and 2-3 matches where we
will travel to an area school to play. As with the basketball teams, parents will be
responsible for transporting your daughter to the out of town matches.
The practice sessions will be held from5:30 pm – 6:45 pmfor 5th & 6th grade players and
will be held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights through the end of April. The first practice willbegin on Monday March 20th at the High School Gym. All practices will be held at the high school gym.
Mr. Blackhurst and I are still working on a schedule for the matches. I will hand it out at
practice as soon as we have this schedule completed.
Players: Please come prepared:
*Wear appropriate practice clothes (gym shoes, gym shorts. No jeans or dress clothes)
*Kneepads are optional, but recommended
*Have positive attitude…. Bring a smile and a willingness to learn
* Uniforms will be checked out for player to use for matches
Parents:
* Fill out the release form and return it to your daughter’sschool’s office by March 15.
* Attach a check for $50 with the release form (make checks to Miner VB).
* Thank you for allowing your daughter to participate in the Beulah Miner Volleyball
program.

I hereby acknowledge that my daughter is healthy and ready for vigorous activity and authorize the coaches to secure any emergency treatment deemed necessary. I hereby release coaches, the Beulah Public School District, and all supervisors from all claims as a result of any injuries, which may be sustained by my daughter while participating. I also understand that any medical bills incurred by my daughter while participating will be my responsibility or the responsibility of my health insurance plan.
