Future Fiscal Year Behavioral Health Planning Tool

Sample Managing Entity

The purpose of this document is to provide a road map for department’s planned FY14-15 community behavioral health expenditures. The department contracts with seven managing entities to provide safety-net services in Florida. Presently, the contracts are held by:

·  Big Bend Community Based Care in Circuits 1, 14, 2, and Madison and Taylor counties. The annualized value of the contract on June 30, 2013 was $46m.

·  Lutheran Social Services in Circuits 3, 8, 4, 7, 5, and Hamilton, Suwannee, Dixie and Lafayette counties. The annualized value of the contract on June 30, 2013 was $89m.

·  Central Florida Cares in Circuits 18 and 9. The annualized value of the contract on June 30, 2013 was $56m.

·  Central Florida Behavioral Health Network in Circuits 6, 10, 12, 13, and 20. The annualized value of the contract on June 30, 2013 was $159m.

·  Broward Behavioral Health Coalition in Circuit 17. The annualized value of the contract on June 30, 2013 was $45m.

·  Southeast Florida Behavioral Health Network in Circuits 19 and 15. The annualized value of the contract on June 30, 2013 was $50m; and

·  South Florida Behavioral Health Network in Circuits 16 and 11. The annualized value of the contract on June 30, 2013 was $73m.

Chart 1 represents the FY13-14 community behavioral health funding, proportionally by Managing Entity and Department.

Chart 4 shows the proportion of the allocation to Sample Managing Entity by fund type, based on FY13-14.

Because of the variation in Managing Entity Contracts from fiscal year to year, dollars are not displayed so as to allow projection into FY14-15.

Chart 5 further breaks down the allocation to Sample Managing Entity shown in Chart 4, displaying the service mix for FY12-13 for Adult Mental Health.

Historically, the service mix contracted for in the Sample Managing Entity catchment area, has been in response to the following trends:
