Position Purpose: / The role is responsible for the coordination and delivery of best practice HR and OD services across Residential Aged Care homes in Western Australia that improves the performance of these entities and meets the strategic objectives of Mercy Health.
Qualifications: / Undergraduate qualification in Human Resources or Business related discipline.
Knowledge of Organisational Development principles.
Postgraduate qualification in related discipline desirable.

Employee Development / ·  Ensure all Performance Development Reviews are conducted in a timely manner.

·  Evidence of evaluation process following implementation of OD projects.
Strategy / ·  Participate in strategic planning for relevant areas as required. / ·  Ensure HR and OD activities support the Mercy Health strategic plan and People, Learning & Culture objectives.
Recruitment & Selection / ·  Assist with the provision and implementation of quality care by contributing to workforce planning to ensure the Residential Aged Care facilities in WA is able to retain and recruit the employees required to maintain desired service standards.
·  Provide advice to managers on strategies to reduce turnover.
·  Ensure managers are appropriately trained in recruitment and selection. / ·  Evidence of implementation of HR strategies to attract, recruit, select, develop and retain quality Aged Care employees.
·  Early identification of labour shortages in key occupational groups.
·  Low employee turnover rates.
HR Support / ·  Regularly meet with internal stakeholders to benchmark delivery of HR service levels.
·  Respond to employee complaints and grievances.
·  Provide performance management support to managers.
·  Conduct investigations as required.
·  Deliver snack sessions on various HR topics for managers and employees (e.g. Recruitment & Selection, Bullying & Harassment, Diversity, Performance Management).
·  Promotes an open and proactive approach to communication with stakeholders. / ·  Minimal employee complaints regarding HR issues.
·  Effective and timely resolution of employee grievances and disciplinary actions.
·  Minimal disputes concerning employment contracts, classifications, pay rates, bullying and harassment.
·  Existence of current and up to date Position Descriptions for all employees.

·  Provide regular feedback from an entity level regarding current HR issues and practices.

Industrial Relations / ·  Provide IR advice as required.
·  Assist managers understanding of IR processes
·  Prepare change implementation plans and assist with the implementation of planned change.
·  Prepare change impact statements for relevant unions and other external stakeholders. / ·  Consultation with relevant internal stakeholders, such as the General Manager Human Resources, with regards to serious IR issues.
·  Minimal IR conflict.
·  Managers and employees are supported and assisted during times of change.
Policies & Procedures / ·  Monitor policies and procedures liaising with relevant team members to update as necessary.
·  Contribute to continuous process improvement of HR and OD policies and procedures. / ·  Ensure relevant policies and procedures are reviewed in a timely manner and uploaded to PROMPT.
Provide so far as is practicable, a healthy and safe environment for staff and others in the workplace / ·  Assist with the management of injured or ill employees in a safe and timely manner.
