Expressions of Interest are invited from interested applicants from schools for temporary appointment to the position of Leader, Schools Deployment (CEO, ETS) of Local Deployment Teams(LDT) 72, (LDT) 73 and (LDT) 85.

LDT 72 will operate from Mudgee High School and Dubbo College Senior Campus and support principals and schools being deployed in Group 7 from the following Principal Networks: Lachlan, Wollemi, Macquarie and Western Plains.

LDT 73will operate from Nyngan High School and Parkes High School and support principals and schools being deployed in Group 7 from the following Principal Networks: Lachlan and Western Plains.

LDT 85 will operate from Bourke School of Distance Education and Walgett Community College and support principals and schools being deployed in Group 8 from the following Principal Networks: Western Plains.

Interested staff are asked to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) indicating their capacity to undertake the role with reference to the attached position description (maximum three A4 pages).

The EOI must include the names and contact details of two referees, one of whom should be your immediate supervisor.

Expressions of Interest for LTD 72 and LTD 73 should be forwarded to Maree Angus, Director PS NSW, LachlanPrincipals Network () by midday on 3 March, 2017.

Expressions of Interest for LTD 85should be forwarded to Sean Andrews, Director PS NSW, Western Plains Principals Network () by midday on 3 March, 2017.

Please indicate clearly which Principal Network you are currently working within.

Brief Role Statement / Plan, manage, monitor and report on the local implementation of financial, student administration and student wellbeing systems for schools in LMBR learning hubs.
Statement of Duties / Successfully manage and coordinate activities of the Local DeploymentTeam to ensure a high level of school readiness is in place.
Manage the delivery of communications to the Local DeploymentTeam staffand participatingschools, and provide regular feedback to the Director, LMBR Systems Deployment.
Manage and coordinate all end to end deployment activities to ensure a successful transition to the new systems and processes at a school level.
Manage the delivery of effective training to participating school staff in conjunction with Training and Deployment Officers.
Develop and maintain a collegial network of participating principals to provide support for the resolution of operational issues impacting on the deployment to schools.
Monitor and report on all school business readiness and deployment activities, including identifying and addressing in a timely manner any issues and risks at the local school level.
Respond to concerns from school based stakeholders and staff concerning the required readiness, training and related activities and escalate any unresolved issues to the Director, LMBR Systems Deployment.
Selection Criteria / Current employment with the Department as a substantive school principal of a NSW Public School.
Demonstrated superior leadership and operational skills in a school setting along with a high level understanding of the role of school principals and school administrative support staff (SASS).
Demonstrated experience of change management activities and an ability to facilitate and influence successful school based business reform.
Knowledge of the processes and activities involved in the implementation of a new technology system in a school and ability to comprehend various technology terms and clearly communicate these to school-based staff.
Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and manage a large complex project while meeting critical deadlines and delivering high quality outcomes.
Demonstrated excellent understanding of departmental processes and requirements related to student administration, human resources and finance together with knowledge of centrally supported software used in schools.
Superior written, oral and interpersonal communication skills and a confident ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a large range of stakeholders and staff.
Knowledge of and commitment to the Department’s Aboriginal Education policies.
