45th Annual Carol Pilgrimage at the Churches in Mount Penn - Sunday, December 20th

The Pilgrimage begins at 7 p.m. at Pennside Presbyterian, 253 North 25th Street. It then proceeds to Faith Lutheran, Trinity UCC, and St. Catharine’s RCC. Advent candles are lit at each Church, as prayers are offered and carols are sung. Nativity figures join the procession with each stop along the way, and each Church presents special music. Refreshments follow the event at St. Catharine’s cafeteria. All are invited to participate.

Diocesan School Visit – January 7, 2016

Sister Anita Gallagher, IHM and Ms. Kimberly Fetter, Assistant Superintendents for the Diocese of Allentown, will visit Saint Catharine of Siena School on Thursday, January 7th. They will visit classrooms and meet with the faculty. Visitation is conducted in each school of the Diocese on a three-year cycle. We welcome Sister Anita and Ms. Fetter and look forward to their observations.

Update on Mrs. McDonough

Mrs. McDonough fell on December 8th as we walked down to the Chapel for Mass on the feast of the Immaculate Conception. She shattered her elbow and had surgery a few days later. She needs to keep her arm stabilized for several weeks and will be out of school until the doctor allows her to return. Mrs. Guistwite has been subbing in fifth grade through December. We are seeking a long-term substitute for the fifth grade since Mrs. McDonough’s return date cannot be determined. Please keep Mrs. McDonough in your prayers for her healing.

Computer – Math Substitute

As part of his Masters program, Mr. Sneeringer will be teaching at a public school for seven weeks during the second semester – dates to be determined. We are seeking a substitute for that time period to teach the computer classes and the math 8 class. He will be returning after the seven weeks.

Christmas Day

Love Made Visible

“It is the love with which, that night, God assumed our frailty, our suffering, our anxieties, our desires and limitations.”
