Call to Order
Chairman Marilyn Reed called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.
Selection of Inductees
The following Arkansans were chosen to be inducted at the September 9, 2010 Ceremony at the Governor’s Mansion.
Honorary Lifetime Achievement Award - Charles Pierce

David Allen moved to accept the Board’s recommendation of the Fuller Brothers as alternate in the Performing category. Gail Robinson seconded and the motion carried.
David Allen moved to accept the Board’s recommendation of Bill Rice as third alternate and Buryl Red as fourth alternate in the Non-Performing category. Chuck Dodson seconded and the motion carried.
Ted Mullenix moved to accept the Board’s recommendation for inductees into the Arkansas Entertainers Hall of Fame on September 9, 2010. If for some reason the inductees are not able to attend or decline the nomination the alternate would move up. Bob Mathis seconded and the motion carried.
David Allen moved to approve Charles Pierce receiving the one time Honorary Lifetime Achievement Award. Gail Robinson seconded and the motion carried.
Chairman Marilyn Reed asked that in the future all nomination be brought to the Board for approval before approaching nominees of possible induction. Also that the media not be notified with the list of inductees until after they have accepted the invitation to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Chairman Reed also asked the Board to continue finding sponsors for the event and keep her posted of their progress. It was recommended that the sponsors be given two complimentary tickets for sponsorship. At the next meeting the board will discuss the cost of tickets, which will be determined by the contributions from sponsorships and expenses.
Susie Madsen will compile a list of contact addresses that will be send to the Governor’s office for letters to be sent to the inductees. Gloria Robins will send a list of possible inductees and the list of the Boards choices to the Governor’s office for the Governor to select the Governor’s Award.
The conference call adjourned at 11:00 a.m.
