- Students throughout this unit will achieve the ability to maintain their own part during performance by ear or simple notation.

Lesson Outline: /
- Students will be asked to form into bands or friendship groups. Students are asked to consider what factors influence their learning and whether their first choice of band members is the correct choice for achievement of the goals and tasks.
- Students will have 15 minutes to decide who will be playing what instrument and what song they will be studying for the term. Unlike in the Shallow End, songs will not be provided in this unit. Students are to choose their own song to study.
- Students will consider the Health and Safety issues with this unit. Students will identify the issues and solutions for a safe learning environment.
