8:15- 8:30 - 1st day-Camp organization

1:00- 1:30- Becoming a successful player,

good student and a better person!

1:30- 1:40- Shooting

1:40- 2:00- Becoming better at DEFENSE

2:00- 2:30- 2 on 2 Tournament

2:35- 3:00- 3 on 3 Tournament

5:00 Camp dismissal (PLEASE READ NOTE ABOUT CAMP DISMISSAL AND DROP OFF

CAMP START: Please DO NOT drop off your child before 7:30 a.m. each day. There will be NO SUPERVISION for campers before 7:30 a.m.

LUNCH: Campers can bring their lunch clearly marked with their name and we will store it in the cooler. They can purchase pizza ($2.00 per slice) or (?) Burger King Sandwiches (price TBD). Snacks & drinks can also be purchased at the CAMP STORE.

CAMP BANK: Campers can put money in a camp bank and use for lunch, snacks or drinks. Unused money will be returned to campers at the end of the week.

WHAT TO WEAR: Campers should wear tee shirts, basketball/gym shorts (no jeans or cutoff shorts) and athletic socks. NO HATS are to be worn during camp. PLEASE DO NOT BRING BALLS! Suffolk Public Schools, NRHS, YOUNGSTARZ and any person or people representing such are NOT responsible for any theft, loss of valuables or clothing of campers or staff members. A camp tee shirt will be given to each camper. All campers are to wear their camp shirt on Thursday for Picture Day. A group picture will be taken as well as pictures with the NRHS players (based on availability of camera person)

CAMP DISCIPLINE: ALL campers must abide by camp rules (which will be stated the first day of camp) and regulations. Campers will be held out of certain sessions for unruly and unacceptable behavior that interferes with the overall operation of the YOUNGSTARZ Basketball Camp. Campers are not to touch, assault, and ridicule or demean any other camper. Continuous BAD behavior will lead to removal from camp with NO RETURN of camp fees.

INJURIES: Please understand by signing camp consent form you are waiving Suffolk Public Schools, NRHS, YOUNGSTARZ and ALL persons representing such from any liability, blame, reason or cause for any injury, paralysis or death for any camper upon arriving, participating in and leaving the YOUNGSTARZ Basketball Camp at NRHS. Every prudent and diligent effort will be made to treat all injuries and such. Any cost of any injury that necessitates transportation to a hospital will be the responsibility of campers’ parent or guardian (unless ambulance is needed). Parents assume all medical costs

CAMP DISMISSAL: All campers must be picked up by 5:15 p.m. If you need to pick up your child after 5:15, you may do so for an additional $10.00 charge per child per day (or $25.00 per child for the 4 days). If you do not pay the extra fee, your child cannot return to camp.

ENROLLMENT FORM: By signing this form you hereby waive Suffolk Public Schools, NRHS, YOUNGSTARZ and any person or people representing such from any liability, blame, reason or cause for any injury, paralysis or death for any camper upon arriving, participating in and leaving the YOUNGSTARZ Basketball Camp at NRHS. You also accept responsibility for any expenses incurred for your child because of any injury, paralysis, or death while arriving to, participating in and leaving from the YOUNGSTARZ Basketball Camp.

A NONREFUNDABLE fee of $25.00 is due upon enrollment and balance MUST be paid by June 26rd. (cash ONLY after JUNE 14). Can pay all at once.

All checks and money orders made payable to Nansemond River HS (memo: Boys Basketball Camp). You can pay at NRHS or send checks to Ed Young NRHS 3301 Nansemond Parkway, Suffolk, VA 23434. Mail it BEFORE June 10th. Please put campers name at the bottom of the check.

Coach Young is a 10 time Coach of the Year winner and the only coach named Coach of-the-Year in the Eastern, Beach and Southeastern Districts,) His teams have won over 430 games in a twenty-six year high school career, 10 District Titles, 3 Regional Titles, 5 State tournament appearances and one State Championship! He has six years college coaching experience and has done some Pro Coaching in the National Rookie League.

STAFF: NRHS coaches/players: Rob Moore, Craig Frost, Glenn Whitehurst. Camp objective: Campers will be taught the skills needed to become a successful basketball p1ayer. Also some key classroom skills to help students become better students and ‘life skills’ to become a better citizens will be taught at camp and of course to have a FUN week playing
