School of Computing alumni legacy scholarships
The School of Computing alumni legacy scholarships fund was established between the University and MSc CAGTA alumni in May 2014 to support Teesside University graduates seeking to progress into postgraduate study within the School of Computing.
It is now 25 years since Teesside University inaugurated the first MSc in Computer Aided and Graphical Technology Applications. CAGTA, as it quickly became known, was a ground-breaking new course that blazed a trail for many of the impressive achievements of our School of Computing. Many of its graduates have forged very successful careers in a number of industries around the world. In May 2014 a number of alumni donated to the University to set up the School of Computing alumni legacy scholarships.
The firstscholarship of £4,590 will be available to be awarded by the school for the academic year 2015 / 20162016-17.
The successful applicantswill receive funds to cover the full fees of one of the following one year, full-time MA or MSc courses:
- MA Computer Animation and Visual Effects
- MA Concept Art for Games and Animation
- MA Games Development
To be eligible candidates must:
- Have have completed a first degree at Teesside University
- Not not have already completed a postgraduate programme of study
- Study study full-time
- bBe a home/EU student.
Applications should be completed and submitted electronically to by Sunday31 July 2016. Additionally, to be eligible for the scholarship, candidates are expected to have gone through the university University application processand been offered a place on their chosen course. When completing the application form, candidates are expected to express why they deserve the scholarship, what they expect to learn and how they will use their new skills and knowledge in a professional context. The successful applicant will be decided by staff at the School of Computing and notified by email.
